Spudsy i think you missed my point or i've missed yours. I agree with you that i would like to follow a club but with the players shuffling it defeats the purpose so im left supporting players not clubs.

I think warnie said he wasn't playing this IPL didn't he? Just coaching i heard.
Warne announced via his twitter 2 days ago that he will play in IPL 4.

That's more because Andy Flower knows exactly what he is doing more than the IPL. The IPL is a brilliant league, filled with it's own riveting cricket. You cannot tell me that 34 games in last year, with all but the Mumbai Indians and the King XI Punjab sitting at 4-4 or 4-5, 6 teams fighting for 3 spots, it wasn't the least bit exciting. If you don't like T20 just come out and say so and move out of this thread.

I'm not anti-T20, but I wouldn't call the IPL a brilliant league by any stretch of the imagination. In the main it was full of mediocre at best cricket I found.

But it is not just about the quality of cricket though.. And I agree that quality of cricket is mediocre, it is still higher than most other domestic T20 stuff and it was interesting to say the least this year..

Personally i don't support any team in the IPL i just follow the players individual performances that i like.
This, in a big way. I love being able to appreciate a good innings, as well as the delivery or fielding work that ends it, and at the end of the day, care little about which team wins. As long as it isn't Delhi

With a 120 overseas players ( i see many aussie, saffie, english domestic pros) county cricket is going to find it hard to find 18 overseas pros for both april and may which wil be full of a 2 month ipl.

Alright well, maybe it's not bloody county cricket but the league was well well entertaining. You can't say not seeing the Royals going from 4-2 to collapsing to 6th and having a 3-4 Chennai pull themselves up to the championship was blimely brilliant! If you support a team, which I know is hard to do in the IPL, then it becomes quite the scorcher. I thought how tight IPL 3 turned out to be in who advanced and who didn't was massively entertaining. Besides, why not watch Gilchrist and Warne play a little more cricket? What's wrong with that?

They'll surely move at least the first two of those?

Some guys are about to earn themselves a shedload of money by playing well in the champions league thingy.

West indies and pakistan to go ahead, pakistan players unlikely in ipl and windies far few ipl players.
Srilanka well it would be a huge outcry if they pulled out, remember the sky deal of 7 tests.
Australia and bangladesh cancelled before haven't we,and straight after the world cup too, players will be exhausted.
West indies and india, its a given that will be cancelled, the other 3 its harder.
Srilanka and australia face big fines if the tours do not take place.
