31st over

They are getting comfortable now, and they're doing it with very good shots against accurate bowling. Riley lashes a cover drive for four off Oram, and there's two more singles.

32nd over

Some great fielding stops a leg glance reaching the boundary, and there's three more singles. Gillepsie has bowled 9 overs for 17 runs.

33rd over

Just the two singles off Oram.

34th over

Gillespie sends down his first poor over, including a legside wide and a full toss outside off that Riley guides fine for four. That means figures that were amazing are now just good, 10-3-25-2.

35th over

Four scampered singles of Oram's eighth over, and CW are - finally - just about in control of this game.

35 overs
CW 135/4
Spark 34 (68), Riley 28 (53)
CW require 48 runs at 3.2 rpo

36th over

The New Zealanders are still holding them back, but that crucial wicket is evading them. One run to bring up the 50 stand is all O' Brien yields from that over.

37th over

Spark goes over the top! He's had enough of Oram's military medium and takes him for a one-bounce four past long on. Riley late cuts yet again to the boundary, nine more to the total.

38th over

Spark continues to charge, and lofts O' Brien over cover for four more. It's in the bag now, surely?

39th over

Yep, they are making it look easy now. Riley clips a four through midwicket, there's four more singles, and a Spark cover drive to the boundary gets him past fifty from 82 balls. A chanceless, crucial knock. Oram's figures are ruined from the last two overs, he's taken 0-44 in his 10.

40th over

Straight drive from Riley brings him four more, and that's seven from O' Brien's final over of his 1-38.

40 overs
CW 169/4
Spark 52 (83), Riley 44 (68)
CW require 14 runs at 1.4 rpo

41st over

McSkimming can do very little on his return to the attack as Spark backs away and cracks a cut shot through point for four. He keeps the strike with a single.

42nd over

That's a real shame for Riley. After Franklin concedes three more singles, Riley misses out on both staying to the end and a deserved fifty. Only himself to blame though, as after having got to 46 off 73 with proper cricket shots he ends it with a rank slog that loops to square leg. In comes Winne with 5 runs required.

43rd over

Spark takes a two onto the leg side, and a single down to long on. Winne has the privilege of hitting the winning runs as he eases his first ball into the on side for two - they've won.

CW won by five wickets

Hits the winning runs! Spark and Riley did all the work, though.

Agree with the consensus here, big thanks to Jake, you did a great job with this.

Do they do player of the tournament and stuff?

Incidentally we are now the first team in history to win a World Cup while losing four matches during the campaign.
