26th over

Sinclair is looking nervy out there, with Corrin getting some healthy turn. He only gets the single away off the fifth ball, and there's a dot to finish. Corrin's conceded just 19 from his first six.

27th over

Capone bowls 5/6 of a good over before Oram gleefully accepts a half-volley, cover driving for four. He's keeping NZ in the game, that brings up their 100.

28th over

Corrin continues to keep the batsmen guessing, as he leaks only two more singles.

29th over

Phlegm comes back for a quick burst. Well, medium pace, but still. Oram gets an edge down to third man for two, and there's four more singles.

30th over

Sinclair's torment is over. He aims to cut Corrin's first ball, but it's not short enough and Dharan takes a fine catch off the bottom edge, Sinclair goes for 8 off 19. McCullum gets off the mark and Oram moves to 49 while keeping the strike, but it's still just two from the over.

New Zealand 111/5
Oram 49 (59), McCullum 1 (2)

31st over

Four more, your standard middle overs fare. Oram reaches fifty with a push through the covers.

32nd over

Corrin one-ups Phlegm by conceding only three. Time running out for New Zealand, but if Oram goes they're finished.

33rd over

Hing comes back, and after a brace of singles, McCullum is done in by a sharply turning ball that clips the off peg, great ball. Is that the beginning of the end? Franklin gets off the mark with a two down to fine leg.

34th over

Capone does well to keep a Franklin sweep down to three, and that's four from Corrin's final over. He's finished with figures of 10-1-30-3. A match winning spell.

35th over

Hing showing why he was selected in this second spell, as he has Oram playing and missing twice. Only one run conceded, and they are strangling New Zealand out of the game.

36th over

Winne comes back and finds Franklin's edge, but it's safe. Four more.

37th over

Oram backs away second ball and blasts Hing through extra cover, that's a great shot. He takes a single, but Franklin can't get it away, and it's five off Hing's seventh.

38th over

They are accelerating now, but is it too little, too late? Four singles, added to a powerful drive down the ground from Oram, means eight off the over - that's the most expensive since the 17th.

39th over

Four more runs off Hing. The 200 is still on, if these two can last to the end they might just have something to defend.

40th over

Capone returns, and he'll be able to bowl out from here. Full and fast from the left armer, and only three from it.

New Zealand 151/6
Oram 71 (88), Franklin 12 (22)

41st over

Hing comes within a whisker of getting Oram, as he edges past the diving Dharan. Four singles come of the over, before Oram's gone - identical to before, only this time Dharan got there. 73 off 92, he's played a lone hand today.

42nd over

Wide from Capone, and next Franklin digs out a yorker to get off strike. New batsman Gillespie doesn't have a clue. He's gone second ball, out for 0. McSkimming miscues the last ball of the over, but it goes down to third man for one.

43rd over

Hing will sign off here, but not before McSkimming gets to hammer one through the covers to the boundary. Great shot for a tailender. Hing finishes with 2-49.

44th over

Only two off the next Capone over. Franklin not attempting to shield the tail at all, this is a miserable effort from him.

45th over

Winne will bowl his final over. His second ball is harshly judged a wide, and otherwise Franklin fails to score. Winne did the early damage and has barely let up the pressure since, he's taken 2-28 off his 10.

45 overs
New Zealand 166/8
Franklin 16 (41), McSkimming 7 (7)

46th over

Three more singles off Capone. This is a slow death.

47th over

Phlegm to share the death bowling duties. Some excellent boundary fielding keeps Franklin drive down to two, and the over down to four.

48th over

Franklin gets off strike with a single down to third man - that's a no-ball as well. Two balls later, Capone does for McSkimming, that yorker again. You miss, he hits. O' Brien survives.

49th over

Franklin is either ill or in pain, it's the only way to explain this innings. He fails to time anything in Phlegm's last over, and following a decent lbw shout, he keeps the strike with a single. Phlegm's taken 0-33 off his 10.

50th over

Five dot balls from Capone to Franklin, before Franklin backs away and wallops a colossal six over cover point. Amazing shot - where was that power before? That ends the innings, and Capone's contribution of 2-42. New Zealand will have to bowl like demons to defend this.

50 overs
New Zealand 182/9
Franklin 28 (63), O' Brien 0 (3)

Just read through, good stuff Jake. Good stuff CW too, what an opening burst, eh.

Going out now but fully expect the openers to knock off the runs when I get back.
