We don't finish the year until after the WC. I'll give you some ODI rankings after this series is finished (1 more match), but here are some notable Test rankings:

- CW are ranked 4th in the world

- Narang, Dharan and Heads are ranked 4th, 5th and 7th respectively in the Test batting. Matthew Hayden is #1.

- Dean, Capone and Corrin are ranked 9th,11th and 16th respectively in the Test bowling. Simon Jones is #1. (:()

5th ODI vs South Africa

CW recalled Winne and Dong for the dead rubber, and chose to give their four seamers first use of the wicket.

Smith was removed almost immediately, the Cwers tormentor throughout the series nicking Phlegm's first ball to Dharan. Puttick started aggressively but hit Dong straight to point for 8, and South Africa limped to 29/2 after the first 10 overs.

That became 68/3 off 20 as the CWers turned the screw. Kallis had begun to find his way in with a few boundaries, but Rudolph's painful 21 from 52 balls was ended by Winne as he found the outside edge.

Kallis made his way to 50 off 70 balls as he accelerated, Corrin the man being targeted. Dong replaced the legspinner and immediately the move worked, an inside edge behind removing Kallis for 52. Dong made the over a maiden and at this point had figures of 6-1-17-2.

Corrin had McKenzie out for 25 off 40 in his final over, but Gibbs was able to make the South Africans' score just about defendable with his 59 off 80. When he departed, lbw to Dong, the score was 176/6 in the 44th. The score was eventually dragged up to 219/7, thanks to some death overs hitting from Pollock (18 off 17) and Boucher (27* off 24).

The CW openers began well, reaching 48 for no loss after 10 overs. Heads outscored Narang by some distance and looked far more comfortable, Narang having survived two good shouts for caught behind.

However, the right hander was able to catch up with a succession of lovely boundaries off Townsend, and raised his 50 first, from 63 balls. Heads followed suit soon after, and CW were sitting comfortably on 113/0 after 20.

From there the runs continued to flow. Narang brought up his first ODI hundred from as many deliveries, and was finally out for 101 when Pollock had him trapped lbw, CW 199/1 in the 33rd. Heads reached his century from 96 balls, and soon after hit the winnings runs on an easy, albeit consolation, victory.

CW won by 9 wickets and lost the series 3-2

Whatever it takes!!!
must be a cakewalk.. :) You know when you showed some of those bowling attacks India chose in our earlier games, I thought how bad they would be if they actually played.. And then I saw India bowl to England in this tour.. :(

hb, I'm not going to hide how much satisfaction I've gained from that post. Keep at it.

As a general heads up, I have lost the use of my laptop for a few days, and so our tour of India may have to wait.
