well i agree on some points while i am confused about the wrest. Anyway what do you think should be the best Indian ODI team when Tendulkar returns.
You've again chosen Yuvraj. What's the point in picking a batsman whose average is 29, doesn't have too many centuries and doesn't get much opportunity to bat? Instead, you can choose the combination of Pathan (or Yadav) and Powar, who can score just as many runs as the extra batsman, but at a better strike rate.

Come to think of it, Ganguly's not just a hot pick for ODIs these days.

i doubt whether the Indian selectors are thinking along those lines mate, i would say Yuvraj would be an automatic choice in the Indian ODI team, though i must say it will intersting to see whats Ganguly's position in the indian team in general this August

Ganguly's ODI glory days are behnid him and by current standards, he's a misfit in ODIs. There's no way someone with a batting average of 29 and two centuries can be an automatic choice- you have to have an option open. There are as many as six options available. With Sachin gone, Yuvraj can get into the number 4/5 position, which will help him a lot more than batting in the final overs. Besides, the people in charge of the Indian team don't do any R&D and rely far too much on ancient plans and patterns.
