Indian Domestic Season 2011/2012

Earlier, it was the inverse. People thought he had a free run because of his star surname. The ICL stint may have evened things up a little. He's just had a single good season, and it's a long shot to expect him to keep up the performance time and again.

East Zone 120/1 (35.0 ov, MS Vardhan 59*, AP Majumdar 39*, P Awana 1/39) - Stumps | Live Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Wow!! Dinda seems to have really upped his game this season. Saha getting a century too.

Central Zone 378/5 (122.0 ov, R Bist 104*, B Kumar 59*, Amit Verma 0/49) - Stumps | Live Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

In the other game Robin Bist continues his good form this season, and Naman Ojha gets a century.

Badrinath coming into the season midway after Injury hasn't worked for him at all. :(

The same Dinda was carted around in the IPL, time and again, It's frightful for his captain to give him four overs all the time. Slam the IPL if you wish, but the batsmen are of a much higher quality and play to win. Moreover, this is his only really good domestic season- he's been poor otherwise. However, I wouldn't rule him out of opening the bowling for the India A team with TP Sudhindra. Saha can keep wickets.

Robin Bist is another sure-shot India A contender. He's young, played barely three seasons, and should be in the running for their middle-order. Naman Ojha, I wonder, would you have him as India's frontline wicketkeeper-batsman? While I'd eliminate most other blokes because they can't walk into the side on their batting alone, for the purpose of balance, Ojha seems a good bet.

The lack of effective spinners and the frontline spinners struggling for wickets is a huge, huge negative.

Doesn't look even remotely green to me.
By Indian standards.:p

It has quite a bit of grass in the middle and the ball has been seaming around a bit, since i started watching.

Edit - The grass is not too green though....

They're using the Kookaburra instead of the SG ball which the batsmen seem to have trouble adjusting to.

Absolutely stoked that I get to see Sudhindra bowl in a First Class match here. Should get to see Bist bat again as well. Awesome.
