Ranji Trophy is on, and Delhi vs Bengal is being played on a flat Kotla wicket, with Bengal batting first. Bengal are at 179/1, with the only wicket being Goswami, falling to part-timer Manhas. Rajat Bhatia is keeping a very tight line and length, and ten overs have gone for at least eighteen runs. If he was larger and stronger, he'd be an India prospect, with his superior batting. He's out of contention for Tests, but he's been bowling stump-to-stump, and not given scoring opportunities.
Bengal, on the other hand, haven't quite made the best use of a flat deck. Their running between wickets has largely been inadequate, but partnerships have been built. Arindam Das has scored 85 and looks solid, though not much of a mover.
