I remember reading that India and england where talking about moving the test leg forward so it's closer to the end of the WTC game.Could the ENG-IND series be cut down by 1 test to accommodate the IPL? A Delhi based journalist, well connected but also prone to rumor mongering, seems to think so. The probable host counties themselves would do BCCI's bidding apparently.
**** me that's grim.
We have forgotten how to play swing since that dreaded 2011 ENG tour and our players don't play county cricket, neither does BCCI arranges sufficient number of county games before any seriesI dont want to get in heat of the moment stuff but NZ played better than us and for the first 3 days we definitely matched them in intensity but we could not and they could on day 4.
We don't seem to have any upcoming challengers for middle over spots. It's worrisome.
WE just need to plan more carefully but the problem seems to be that those who do well in Aus in the bounce will struggle in England and NZ. But most importantly, our batsmen should just score runs, however they feel comfortable doing it. It just seems like too many muddled minds in that middle order right now. Even Gill seems to be caught up in that. Rohit throws it away after getting in. Virat seems obsessed with technique when he never really was the textbook technical batsman. Pujara seems to think runs are not necessary in cricket. Rahane seems to have a Jekyll and Hyde thing going as a batsman and you never know who comes out when.We have forgotten how to play swing since that dreaded 2011 ENG tour and our players don't play county cricket, neither does BCCI arranges sufficient number of county games before any series
You are just being nice now. YOu are not even gambhiring coz the game is over. I thought being nice was your Athlai account's thing.**** me that's grim.
They have played on some brutal home pitches and against some very good bowlers away from home tbf. No nice easy flat ones against popguns in a while.
This. It would be interesting to see the batting averages for the opposition teams from these series. They have played on some brutal home pitches and against some very good bowlers away from home tbf. No nice easy flat ones against popguns in a while.

In that period, they've been outperformed by batsmen batting in every other position outside of 3-5 ie the openers Rohit and Gill, Pant, even Washington ****ing Sundar, which is basically everyone who has got a decent shot in the period outside of the big three. Some of others did not perform in one series but they rectified that by excelling in another series. The big 3 have failed to string together a decent set of scores over the entire period.This.
