India should participate but send across a few people who they don't mind getting offed
  1. KL Rahul
  2. Prithvi Shaw
  3. Virat Kohli*
  4. Shreyas Iyer
  5. Ishan Kishan
  6. Shivam Dubey
  7. Srikar Bharat+
  8. Mukesh Kumar
  9. Khaleel Ahmed
  10. Prasidh Krishna
  11. Avesh Khan

GG as the coach ofcourse. We should also send an elite panel of commentators led by Sanju Manju, and invite Mr Vaughan as part of it.

Probably should have left it cancelled with Pakistan and India hosting the next two events...no political issues they couldn't forsee there

So if people side with Pakistan they are hypocrites ? I don't agree it's just an unfortunate situation
There is no point in taking sides when the entire system is messed up , compromise is the only way forward. For example England and Australia don't play Afghanistan in bilaterals due to a human rights issue with their government, unless of course it's a World Cup match at stake , sounds like a compromise to me. Everyone is doing some sort of compromise really so a hybrid model shouldn't be an issue.

Haha Australia only refuse to play Afghanistan when they think they think the result doesn't matter, otherwise they'll play every time. Now that's a perfect example of being hypocrtical

I don't know if BCCI has anything to do with this. I genuinely don't know. Isn't it between the PCB and the broadcasters?
No! BCCI has said they won't tour. PCB has asked BCCI to provide a formal written response in regards to not playing including justification as to why not.

I dont think BCCI is bullying the PCB , if government instructs Team India not to travel how can BCCI oppose their government ?

Why can't we just compromise and accept a hybrid model so that both teams can play.

ICC is not perfect, they should have included a hybrid model clause before awarding any team a right to host just in case something like this happens I guess we are going to all pay a very high price for the blunder.
Because Pakistan plays tournaments in India and continuing like this is effectively enforcing a ban on Pakistan hosting international tournaments because of BCCI meddling.

A hybrid model also means that all other countries besides India will have to travel between two countries which gives India a huge unfair advantage and makes the whole competition a farce.

Yeah but if Indian team is instructed by their government there is little BCCI can do , Pakistan should use this inconvenience as leverage to demand the same when events are held in India

It doesn't help that the ICC president is Jay Shah who is an honorary secretary of BCCI ..and Mohsin Naqvi is saying no politics should be in sport when he is a Pakistani senator and chairman of the PCB ..It's just a circus lol

Asia cup 2018 was hosted by india but due to Pakistan refused to participated in india , india move that tournaments to UAE.

Some people's have very short memory

In 90s Pakistan was refused to play Hero cup in india just four days prior to tournaments.

Time has changed now as india has becomes financial power in cricket compared to 90s
The Asia cup and Hero Cup aren't ICC competitions. Happy to help you understand that basic difference.

Yeah, BCCI can decide not to play. That's their choice.

What a mess. Realistically neither team/country should be given hosting rights for these sorts of events until their issues have been resolved (as far as a resolution is realistically achievable, anyway).
Agreed but as all the boards care about is money. The clear logic will be disregarded.

Just give Bangladesh/Sri Lanka and or the UAE every ICC event in Asia until they can sort it.

Yeah absolutely, but "the money" is what will ultimately suffer if India/Pakistan walk out and refuse to get involved every time the other hosts an event.

Lol at not playing ICC events in India. Pakistan can boycott playing here if they want, though I can't think of any major security breach to happen here.
