This is the winning combo team for me no more of sharma and kholi in 20 20 for sure. We need to play fearless cricket.

Pant ? And as captain? He doesn't look suited to T20 at all. Takes too long to get going.

Planning is all over the place. We have just 5 batsmen in squad of 15 and we play 4 of them in the XI. Granted our top order is in terrible form and is the biggest problem but those things can happen. How can you play such thin batting line ups however? Pant at #5 is disaster, he is too hit and miss to be playing that high. We used to have Yuvraj, Raina, Dhoni in some order at 5, 6 and 7 to do the rescue job. Compare that to current 5 to 7.

Aus is doing the same thing. Crazy reliance on the top four which isn't in great form anyway, then weaken the batting even more to play Ashton ****ing Agar. Woeful.

Kholi is abysmal on taking on spinners in 20 20 format the stats dont lie, he only had 100 strike rate against spinners in ipl this year, there are better players than him now in 20 20 format for sure.

He was averaging 97 in T20i before today in 2021 from 7 matches though.

He'd still be first pick in any international side in the world. Mental to turn on him.

Thought from the outset that Afghanistan are sure to knock over one of Pak/NZ/India in these conditions... with NZ at the most risk. Pakistan cleared the hurdle, who knows how India will go right now.

It's NZ's last group game so quite likely to be a virtual QF.

now this is more like it, this is what i expect and knew about this current nz team in regards to the individual ability of player to player in our squad, they are talented, skilled and just as as good as anybody...they are capable of toppling anyone with a complete performance such as this....they dominated and saw it out professionally, comfortably instead of another goddamn thriller that leaves our team vulnerable to dubious rules and tim southee's death bowling in crunch moments
