only @ankitj will see a batsman in the IPL whose only success has been batting at 3 or higher, and struggles to play bounce above waist high at pace, and think he will be a better bet to bat at 7 than a guy who always bats #7.


That is before factoring in the fact that Axar is a better fielder and bowler than Samson.

Sanju absolutely can bat 3 for us and keep once we move past Roht and Virat and get Rutu and Jaiswal opening for us.

Never watch IPL. I have no clue about Samson's batting. He and Jaiswal are the only batsmen in the squad so picked him to strengthen the batting. Wish we had Rinku.

Not at all. I want Rinku there too but based on Ashwin's latest youtube show, seems team management have a plan and part of it is to have Dube at 5 as a spin-hitter considering the super 8 stages in the Windies.

I just wanted to point out how stupid your suggested line up was, that is all.

Just the position of Samson? I was working within the constraints of squad availability and wanted more batsmen in the lineup. And Samson is the only option apart from Jaiswal. I'm sorry I got his batting position wrong. 🙄

You do realize that T20 is perhaps the most specialized of cricket formats when it comes to roles?

I don't know. It may be more than tests but about same or less as ODIs. A batsman is better than a non batsman in any position though.

You are unbelievably petty. I have been a huge supporter of Axar along with Arshdeep and Kuldeep over the years. Have some shame in laughing at me after good performance by Axar. @me again with some pettiness and I will have to add you to my ignore list.

What pettiness? Literally pointing out what you said about two players and how they were crucial in us winning the finals. Its just funny how you called out exactly the two guys who, along with Kohli, scored all our runs. :laugh:

Even if I got a prediction wrong, so what? And I didn't with Axar. I love him and have supported him for a long time.
