The Indian selectors need to grow a pair, drop the has-beens of the side & invest in the young talent.

How Rohit was maintained as skipper after his lazy pathetic performances vs. NZ is beyond me.

Doubt they will force Kohli out.

Number one priority for India is to decide the captaincy and build a new Team India around that.

I argue Jaiswal.

Never captained sadly has Jaiswal.

I don't know the extent of Bumrah injury , but if he misses the England series than Kohli will likely captain because their simply is no other alternatives.

Rohit must go and hopefully they find the courage to give up on the Gill experiment, we have a decent sample to judge him on this format and he ain't going to make it.

They should take a chance with Jaiswal and give him a five year free reign to captain even with ups and downs in results with full support.

He is the only confirmed selection on the team sheet for the future and will end up as a great opener in all likelihood.

Whatever it takes!!!
Doom and Gloom thread is not for future discussions, dumbos.

Its to wallow in the pain of this loss. I think its heartening in a way that we went with a no-hoper side and still managed to cling on to a shot at holdin the trophy till the last day AND it still hurts coz we could have done better even with this lot. Its good in a way that our expectations are this high now for this team that a series defeat in Australia seems like a let down.

But right now, this just hurts, maaan. :(

Nothing good lasts forever and frankly India still fought till the end. Was a lot better than the pre series predictions of being stomped.

Why go back to Kohli when he's not batting well enough to be in the team. Isn't Pant the obvious captaincy replacement if Bumrah is injured?

Yeah my bad.

Picking a specialist 37 year old captain on reflection probably not a great idea especially as he hasn't been a captain internationally or domestically for a few years .
