India Doom and Gloom Thread

Actually I agree that most of the players are below par/useless at the moment. Without Shami, it's gonna be difficult for India to win even 1 test. And if Bumrah breaks down, we'll get thrashings like 2011.

Not blaming him for the loss here but I get the feeling Gambhir might end up a Langer type with no useful input technically and tactically beyond spouting generic cliches. At least that’s what I get from his interviews.

I think its the opposite. He has very set ideas and strong opinions about how to play and I am worried it may not be everyone's cup of tea in the team. Either way, I am definitely blaming him and Rohit for a lot of the bad strategies and tactics throughout this series and I think we may well be winning this series if we had better management at the helm.

The only caveat is that you gotta give a decent rope to any new management and these guys just started.

"Frankly we don't care about what's being said on social media * insert appropriately disdainful eyeroll *. What the team management thinks is of course very, very important".

Social media is junk but no good living in an echo chamber, Gotya, especially when you're high on your own flatulence. People pass out like that.

I said when you have an old side the train comes off the rails quickly and dramatically, looks like it's the same with this team.

Other than Pant (who looks a genius) it is hard to know who of the other bats will perform abroad. Huge tour ahead and it looks a very difficult one but the future may a lot more clear if some stand up in a tough situation on hard pitches.

For the record I think Australia could fall apart as dramatically at any stage too as they are even older as a collective.
