No body is obligated to support any country over any other regardless or race , background , etc.

If I were in Deeps position I would do exactly the same thing.
In fact I am & I do.

My parents both moved out here from England about 10 years before I was born , they were both born there & both hold UK passports (I beleive I am eligable as a non overseas player).
Yet do I supprt England over Australia??

Amits there are no native Australians (no not even Aborigines), everybody in this country has come from somewhere else, yet we still exist as Australians. Deeps said he was born here, he was raised here. As far as I'm concerned that's more than you need to be considered a citizen of that country.

Also, I find it hard to believe that you can say with assurance what you would be like had you been born under different circumstances.

Test series, hard to see past 4-0 i'm afraid, how have India got the bowlers to get Australia out twice? They could barely get English wickets on greener pitches.

It's something called "freedom of choice" - the fact that it is his choice to do what he wants to do, and it's what gives the world its diversity and variance... and blatant intolerance of that is not needed.

I'm warning you because you have no right to tell others to be like you. Some ex-pats retain far, far stronger links to their country of birth than others.. again, it is their choice. You cannot legislate, ban or warn people for making their own opinions and choices (unless they are hurtful/offensive, obviously) and you need to respect this.

Why would I take one-sided decisions based on Australia? I hate the place!

And Corey (Top_Cat) is of Aboriginal descent, so he's the guy to ask there.

Anyway, the only way I can see India winning a Test is in a dead rubber... but with Waugh retiring after the SCG, that ain't likely.. so 4-0.

Hmmmmm. Lucy Eddie.

Got a nice ring to it. She was my grandmother, I think.

She was found in Ethiopia in 1974, although there have been a number of other finds, some thought to be much older.

The common factor is East Africa, the Rift Valley, so it's a fair bet we originated from that area.

Im an Indian born male who has been living in Australia for the last 13 years. It is completely my choice who I want to support, and Im sure you all know who I support.

Well done Deep, just follow what/who you want to follow, I only lived in India for five years of my life and came here (Melbourne) and have been living here for the last 13 years. However, im very proud to be Indian and passionate about the Indian Cricket team and contribute to Cricketweb's India section.

We need more people like deep who have a strong conviction and belief of supporting whoever they want without being blindly patriotic. Well done, my motto is:
