Were they that flat? Sarfraz took 14 @ 27 in those tests. Seems like they were much rougher for the spinners.
Pakistan got to 600 twice so probably, tho again, apparently the umpires allowed the Pakistanis to take the ball to the dressing room this series, as well as allowed overstepping and were very hasty in giving nicks caught behinds ans LBWs so the two teams might not have been playing on the same level.

Hadlee didnt start off as a genuine all rounder but as an out and out pace man, cutting down his run up at a slight reduced pace was a genius decision, he worked hard on his batting with Clive Rice and became a genuine all rounder, should have had a couple more test centuries to his stats,

Imran was a great all rounder too, he started off as a medium pacer who worked hard on his bowling to become a strike bowler. another great decision by him too,

along with Kapil and Botham they where great to watch and i was lucky to see all 4 in their prime, if Rice and Proctor had been allowed to play tests too then they would have been genuine test all rounders. i believe Hadlee helped Rice with his bowling,

i dont really like to compare them to each other , just glad i was around too see them,

I've heard that bit about taking the ball to the dressing room b4. I'll admit i never followed much cricket outside of matches involving WI. But did that really happen??
