Overall, England have been sup-par, with the exception of Broad. But this has been a cracking game, and if we see any tour of the UAE or anywhere else start with one of these I'll be more than happy.

What?

9 wickets down, 260 ahead and around 65 overs to go. Everything to gain and basically nothing to lose. Who wouldn't declare?
Nothing to lose..?

"England XI require another 94 runs with 7 wickets remaining"

33 overs left for the day and one of their best bowlers is out injured. Would've thought they might have tried to draw the game.

With one wicket remaining?

No, you go for the win. And with an opening bowler who is injured replaced by your best spinner for the second innings.

"Nothing to lose" referred to a) Declaring only loses you your 10th wicket and b) everyone expected them to lose anyway. How often could this team get the chance to beat a top side, even if they play regularly?

Fair enough. I'd rather they go for the draw because I don't want to see England win.

regardless of the result England should be pleased with the workout rarely you have such competitive warm up games where all the bowlers and batsman get a decent go twice in the match.

Most of the batsmen can't exactly be feeling particularly happy with their form though.
