Man down - Hamid Hassan on a stretcher after taking a tumble over the picket fence and landing on sightcreen rail behind. Looked nasty..
Thats all I know.

According to the commentary, the early-morning dew gives the pitch a bit of zip, but once the sun's been up for a few hours then it's all very sedate. Batting starting to look rather straightforward now, though Rankin and Viljoen have been quite accurate. (As I type that, Rankin sprays one down leg that Cook sends for four). Concerned for Hassan as well as slighty annoyed I'm not getting to watch him bowl. Hope he's okay.

News from the dressing room is that Hassan has a bruised arm and a swollen knee, but nothing broken, so it doesn't sound too serious. Out for the day but they think he'll play tomorrow.

I'm guessing if the associates don't take wickets England will look to bat into tomorrow to give every recognised batsman a chance to test out the conditions

This combined ICC Associate team should be given test status
A few more games and it could make for an interesting case, although only as a touring team. It would also allow the ICC to see when one of the nations have the capability to go at it themselves.

Maybe just something like a once a year invitational like the Barbarians in Rugby.

Lol. 102/2 - 126/5. It's like the last two years have been some wonderful waking coma.

Plus side is we can call up the ICC's best (fit) seamer.

Haha yeah. If Rankin plays a bit too well he could very well be playing a bit more cricket this tour.
