Depends what you mean by limited overs hitter. He has 6 ODI hundreds already, so I think he's a lot better than just someone who plays important cameos.

I think he's insanely talented, probably one of the most gifted on world cricket. But I'm not putting money on him playing lots of tests as he's not getting the chance to play FC cricket to develop.

Yep not sure Hety's career can be blamed on CWI, he/wifey made some bad decisions on fitness and representation. Well, I consider them bad decisions in terms of his West Indies test and 50 over career. But the guy is a multimillionaire so maybe they were actually good decisions as far as he is concerned?

That phase of his life that he went through with after the IPL contract basically closed his closeness around the WI setup and caused him to be a 'Black Sheep'. But, after wifey started to call the shots, we knew that was going to be the top priority for him.

Saying that, there is a positive out of this: The guy is pumping money into the cricketing infrastructures in my county of Berbice. This is massive in cricketer development.

Goes to show the insane amount of test cricket England play that a man with the injury and disciplinary issues Stokes has had, has still played that many tests!
