The Wheel is Forever
Only players common to Benaud's, Bradman's and the composite All Time XI are Bradman, Sobers and Tendulkar. I'd have thought a bowler would be in there. Or Hobbs.
Yea, 2-10 is very debatable, and mine changes every day. I'd probably go Bradman, Sobers, Hobbs, Sachin, or something like that. I think Chappell is up there too.Yep. Second best ever with the bat is Sobers for me. From there you can take your pick, but there's a number I'd put ahead of Sachin really.
Bradman's rather - ahem - strange XI is the reason for that.Only players common to Benaud's, Bradman's and the composite All Time XI are Bradman, Sobers and Tendulkar. I'd have thought a bowler would be in there. Or Hobbs.

would be a fascinating watch(for me at least)...
adam gilchrist is not even close to being the greatest wicket keeper ever(he was not even the best 'keeper in his era)...and in my opinion, an all-time xi looks for the best in every category...batting-wise the two sides are more than covered with magnificent batsmen far better than gilchrist so what such a team would require(in my opinion of course) is an absolute top quality specialist 'keeper which gilchrist obviously is not...as for marsh being better than knott, it can certainly be argued, there are others like taylor as well who would come into the picture...Agreed but where's Adam Gilchrist. By Far The Greatest Wicket Keeper Batsman Ever!!!!
Marsh Is Also A Better Keeper Than Knott In My Opinion.
Two great sides mate - I'd have 8 of your first team in my personal all time XI as well. The second side has a bowling attack that is at least the equal, if not the fractional superior, of your all time XI, but the batting isn't in the same class so that would prove to be the difference for me.Right guys, i was having a chat with a housemate of mine about this and this is what I have come up with. Tell us what you think?
1 - Sunil Gavaskar
2 - Jack Hobbs
3 - Don Bradman
4 - Sachin Tendulkar
5 - Viv Richards
6 - Gary Sobers
7 - Adam Gilchrist
8 - Imran Khan
9 - Shane Warne
10 - Fred Trueman
11 - Glenn McGrath
Very strong side in my opinion. But I would like to see this side play my favorite side of
1 - Sanath Jayasuriya
2 - Kuma Sangakara
3 - Ricky Ponting
4 - Brian Lara
5 - Graham Thorpe
6 - Shivnarine Chanderpaul
7 - Andrew Flintoff
8 - Richard Hadlee
9 - Dennis Lillee
10 - Malcolm Marshall
11 - Muttiah Muralitharan

Bradman in team one and the other two in subsequent teamin which team?
Never had the pleasure of watching Bradman or Sobers, so that was my reason behind that decision. Perhaps Lillee could warrant a place in place of Walsh or Thompson on either team.[/QUOTE]No Bradman, Sobers or Lillee?
