finally my AC milan side has won the champions league at the 3rd time of asking after finishing runner up twice the tearm of:

Frey
Chivu
Cannavaro
Lucio
Sagnol
Robben
Etxeberria
Vieira
Ronaldinho
Shevchenko
Saviola

deserves a great pat on the back, although this feat should have been accomplished before the 3rd attempt :)

That is a good side.

But I went 55 games unbeaten for Inter in the Serie A and won the title with four games to go, so beat that :p

Has anybody played Championship Manager 5 yet? I have read a review about it and it left a lot to be desired, if an official demo is available and depending on the size and I can find it, I might download it and see what it is like.

Just bought Carlos Tevez from Valencia. I traded away Mido, Alex Bruce and Jonathan Tuffey. I didn't need to but Bruce and Tuffey weren't going to get into my first team. Mido needs to start so I sent him somewhere where he could. Also that same reason for Eddie Johnson. Sent him to Roma for a tidy sum I'd say. Also, last season I sold Jose Reyes. I've got some young blood such as Kieran Richardson who's on fire so I just shipped him off to Bolton.

Recently my skipper Rio Ferdinand's been giving a bit of trouble so he might be out. If he does go this will most likely be my best team.

Kasper Scmeichel (GK)
Glen Johnson (DR)
Jose Julian de la Cuesta (DL)
Phillippe Mexes (DC)
Jonathan Spector/Ferdinand (DC)
Cristiano Ronaldo (MR)
Kieran Richardson (ML)
Andres Iniesta (DMC)
Phillip Gilder (AMC)
Wayne Rooney (FR)
Cherno Samba (FL)

I've got on my bench John O'Shea, Will Flood, Ryan Bullock(generated), van Nistelrooy, Hussaine, Tevez, Matt Evans, Jan Kristiansen, Phil and Gary Neville, Chris Eagles and Zidane. Just recently sold Beckham to Arsenal and Scholes and Giggs are in my Reserves for their final seasons. Bought Oliver Kahn to help the younger keepers. My transfer budget this season is over 70 mil after spending virtually nothing last season and with success too.

Must say I have never heard of Ryan Bullock.
Don't you see the generated next to his name?

I suppose you are a relative newcomer to CM/FM or haven't yet got to the "regen" stage.

EDIT : Must say this thread has turned into a "big team, big squad, big budget" boasting thread.

Gretna celebrate the promotion to the SPL by signing Philippe Christanval, Sylvain Wiltord, Marian Pahars and Robert Earnshaw - should be enough to keep us up.

I've just been sacked by Exeter on the grounds that we didn't qualify for Europe.

I'm now at Fulham.

How the hell did Gretna was able to convince Wiltord to come and play and Scotland? Is your club cashed up?

IIRC Gretna is a Scottish div 2 or 3 side that's quite rich so it's easy to move up. But obviously their reputation is qutie bad... so I'm guessing he attracted them, and they are quite old now, with a large amount of cash and the fact that he's in the SPL now.
