6th season and the team has finally starting to play to its potential. Unbeaten in 36 games now, never done a whole league season without defeat before, still 9 games to go.

Well managed to do the whole league season unbeaten and finally won the treble. Did lose a game though, second leg against Porto in Champions League when I was already well ahead, was still livid.

Think I may start a game with Portsmouth now, can't really top the season I just had.

Haha, wow, a true unbeaten league season? I don't think I have ever managed that before, or seen it done. That is excellent.

I might start a new game soon. Just managed to win the Serie A with Inter. Not much left to do other than try for the Champions League I suppose.

Schalke are great to do, got so many good young players but you still have the challenge of beating Bayern and Dortmund.

Started an FM10 game with re-genned database and holidaying (didn't want to bother spending two hours researching patches and db updates, might as well create a weird unfamiliar world).

So far, the game looks out to be trolling sledger: The regenerated Ghana squad won the World Cup by going through unbeaten and beating Germany on penalties in the final. Meanwhile, Arsenal finished 5th, one point off CL, and were knocked out in Europe by AZ Alkmaar and Dinamo Bucuresti.

Chelsea won the PL/CL double and the Ancelotti-regen got to keep his job. They lost to Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup, though.

Will see if I keep going but this world seems to have potential and it's the first time in quite a while I'm playing FM without being forced to wait fifteen minutes between matches.

Have just started a new game with Arsenal to experiment with a 3-5-2 wingback system. Should be interesting.

First game ended in a 2-1 win away to Hull. In the last minute the Hull keeper kicked the ball against his centre back and it ricocheted into the goal.

Unbeaten in 5 competitive games, but only one clean sheet so far. Am putting that down to a lack of tactical familiarity and having to play with mostly young players at the back due to injury.

Signings so far: Balanta, Stones, Aurier.

System at the moment is 3 central defenders, with one as a designated ball-playing defender with the "stopper" instructions. 2 complete wing backs. Deep-lying playmaker/ball-winning midfielder (depending on who is fit, and the oppo) and advanced playmaker in the middle. Ozil as the enganche. Target man and poacher ahead of him. Has worked really quite nicely so far. Podolski leading the scoring charts with 3 goals in 3 Prem games.

Will have to be quite inventive if I am to get Cazorla, Walcott and Ox into the side, barring a massive injury crisis.

Playing a bit of 01/02 at the moment, I missed being able to just buy two really good strikers and wait for the goals to fly in. Playing as Deportivo, they really were quite a side back then.

Romario is great, got him and Larsson to go with Roy Makaay.

01/02 is so great, got Guardiola on a free in the summer, just played Barcelona and kicked Saviola and has got an 8 match ban. Won all my league games so far and Real and Barca had had awful starts.

Roy Mckaay was a star man in my SWOS 96/97 game, always signed him.

I returned to my All british FM13 game. I hadn't saved after my Forest Green FA Cup debacle. Replayed it, won through after a replay. Ended 12/13 on an absolute role, only defeat after March being the FA Cup semi against Chelsea. Sneaked 2nd in the league, Won the CL final against Bayern 1-0, Gary McKay-Stevensons first Utd goal sealing the deal (they had Alaba sent off, then lost Ribery to injury a minute after using their 3rd sub

Season 2 didn't involve many major buys in the summer, only Adam Henley to cover full back (done a good job), Jack Butland to be no 1 and Connor Wickham to offer more options up front, and the usual raid the regens from other teams... Winter I forked out £23m on Shawcross, and £2m on Ashley Cole. He scored in his first 2 games. Finished 2nd again, 12pts behind Chelsea, lost the FA Cup final thanks to an 86th minute Phil Jones ****tacular moment, but then beat a lacklustre Real 2-0 in the CL final (Mighty Tony Watt and Young getting the goals). Rooney broke his foot in April and missed the World Cup, which Woy took England to the final only to lose on pens to the Dutch


Currently Nov 14, slow start to the season again, no major summer buys, under a transfer embargo anyway as theres takeover rumours. Shame as I've got £90m in the kitty and tempted to try and get Bale in January, £50m wasnt enough in the summer.

The 3-5-2 system has just brought me a 5-0 win away to Milan. Not sure how realistic that is, but I will not complain.

Haven't bought 14 and doubt I'll buy 15 either. The video explaining the new "features" was completely uninspiring.

Not even bothered to check what they are. Will probably get it after it comes down in price and all the patches have come out though.

Probably won't get it for a while, in a not playing football manager phase which is always a good thing really.

I won't get it until after Christmas at least, I suspect. I'm not in an FM phase at the moment either. I tried starting it up earlier this evening and could not be bothered.

Still enjoying my FM13 save, won't upgrade until I want to start all over again. Might even skip this year - I doubt this laptops up to dealing with half the improvements. I don't even bother with match view modes (never have TBH, CM/FM has always been a text game IMO), so really all I'm missing out on is another years stats.

The 3D engine has actually come on a lot since it first came out; I still can't be bothered to use it though. Whilst it looks a lot better, it doesn't add anything to the game for me.
