I don't know - but sometimes when I see still photo's of Larwood, he & Steyn resembles a lot to me.

Here is the definitive Bodyline video by Movietone.

It features Larwood's iconic run-up, Woodfull and Oldfield being hit, and Bradman giving a dolly to short-leg. There is also excellent footage of Gubby Allen's energetic action, and a great catch by Bill Voce at third slip to dismiss Grimmett.

Umpire conspicuously doing a job at 1:44 - not sure how he can watch for lbw shouts there, but i suppose the plan was just to give it not out regardless

Since we're talking about the Sydney Bodyline Test I thought I'd show Jardine's post-match statement.

After Jardine finishes talking the camera man says "smile" - so Jardine does. Well kind of

This is fantastic to be able watch what i have only read about for all these years.

Jardine came across well even the smiling.

Was that the first filmed post game interview ?

Haven't found any other interviews yet, but I stumbled across the following video where the Movietone commentator introduces each of the English players. Jardine's harlequin cap is the standout feature, although closely followed by Leyland's square-drive....

I see the bollocks-laden 'confident but not underestimating the opposition' interview is older than we thought

Half expected Jardine to start talking about momentum and right areas

Found a bit of the champion Windies team of the mid 60s, who I've had a bit of a liking for since they got forgotten about in Fire In Babylon

You can tell which is Wes Hall here because look at the bloody size of him - google suggests he's not actually colossal on numbers but he really sticks out here

This one hour documentary made in the mid-80s features Dennis Amiss' double ton against the West Indies in 1976, Zaheer Abbas smashing 274 at Edgbaston, Viv Richards scoring 189 not out against England, and Bob Willis taking 8 for 43 at Headingley.

However, I liked the last 5 minutes the best as it features a montage of Alan Knott in action. His stumping off Norman Gifford, and his one handed catch in front of first slip to get rid of Rick McCosker were pretty special
