Yeah, he has a phenomenal record. Hobbs was the senior partner and always considered the greater player - his record is extraordinary too when you look at how much cricket he played before WWI and how old he was when he finished up.wow.....Sutcliffe looks pretty good too.......not rated as highly for some reason. Always plays second fiddle to Hobbs

Is this a joke or are you serious?
I was being serious. if there ever was an opportunity to dismiss not outs, you would do it in this situation, but only for scores where you get not out for under 50.He is very obviously taking the piss. Scientifically. Let's not go there in another thread.
absolutely agree with this approach of yours...I was being serious. if there ever was an opportunity to dismiss not outs, you would do it in this situation, but only for scores where you get not out for under 50.
So for Bradman he had a 37* and a 30* so for this 'scientific' calculation I would be happy enough if someone said he made 42 50 plus scores in 78 opportunities.
Of course if he had of batted faster he might have been 51* instead of 37*, but that's neither here nor there.
Katich is above LaraVery little to separate Langer and Dhoni
My all-time favourite player. His greatness is such as to be above such mere statistical discussions.I'm really surprised to see Walters so high in this list tbh.
Having checked his stats one wonders why he isn't more highly rated than he is. Noone seems to ever really talk about him.
I had been wondering. It requires slight qualification outside the 'rules' but as an opener.
