Have come to the conclusion that I will be supporting England to get through to the next round - it's always difficult to work this out for a Kiwi or Aussie*. Have just arrived in the UK and the press really are ridiculously arrogant and appalling. Still, I'll be cheering with my distant third cousins.... Go England!!!!
Slovenia are the rather innocuous bad guys in this group - I thought they were the lesser team against Algeria and were lucky that Algeria couldn't finish properly and their keeper made a bad error (hardly the first team time in the tournament these problems have held back a team). And then Slovenia benefited again when the referee penalised the USA for being American in game two. They're nothing if not lucky.
