I hope it goes down to the wire, regardless of the result. Which will effectively cause me to fail my exam tonight.
you have an exam at night....?

Bond to Mohammad Yousuf, OUT, a vital wicket for New Zealand and a real hammer blow for Pakistan. Yousuf looked to drive but his hands slipped on the handle and the ball flew at thigh height straight to Fleming who had moved round to wide mid off. Fleming reaps the reward for the bowling change. Wily old dog.
Charming.

Razzaq in, and he is the final hope. If Razzaq gets out, then this match is gone out of Pakistans hand, and so are Sri Lankas dreams to stay in this tournament

7.7 RRR now and growing ball by ball...Razzaq could let this slip out of his hands if he waits too long

Sri Lanka are officially out of the tournament now, thanks to net run-rate. If New Zealand win, they are through, while India and Pakistan will have to shoot out for the last qualifying spot
Graeme Smith won't be happy...

LOL, not the first stuff up by Cricinfo.

Congrats to NZL for the win.One of the only teams I don't really mind losing to.

At least we eliminated SRL.

I can't see Pakistan chase 275 under lights, not a single team has come close to such a total all tournament. Even without Styris bowling, the combination of Bond, Mills, Franklin, Astle/Oram and Vettori should be enough for some early wickets, control during the middle overs, and a hopeless RRR by the time the slog overs come along.

Perfect assessment at the interval, if i may say so.

new zealand is in simi final now while Sir Lanka is out of tournment
the pakistan and South African match would be intersting to watch. for both team do or die situation.

lets talk about pakistan's performance
afridi failed badly again
same with rana and younis khan

New zealand

styris did well along with fleming
bond for taking important wickets of farhat, yousuf, and razaq.

If Bond takes 10 wickets in his next five ODI matches, he'll be the fastest ever player to 100 ODI wickets. Still only beaten by Gray and Garner for all-time averages (0.18 off the best) and continues to be 1.70 ahead of Brett Lee to keep him at the best all-time strike rate.

Qualification: 1000 balls bowled

EDIT: Still, wish the guy would smile a bit more. He acts like the world is on his shoulders... gets a wicket and looks like he's just relieved more than anything!
