Is it though? It's Eurocentric at best, IMHO.Nothing to do with the World Cup. The point is if the leader of the free world can confuse those two it's okay for someone on CW to think that Iran is full of Arabs.

I think he means he wrote Arab the second time in error because he’d just written it.lol ok, "asian" and "arab" easy to conflate I guess
Jacinda Ardern landed in Japan about 3 years ago and called it China. She blamed it on jet lag.Joe Biden got confused between Cambodia and Columbia.
Every last 16 game is a winner against a runner up, but there's no seeding other than that.how are the seedlings in the group of 16 decided? USA and wales to go through obv.
The whole draw has been done already. There’s no reseeding. The qualifiers from this group will play qualifiers from Group A. Winners v runners up.how are the seedlings in the group of 16 decided? USA and wales to go through obv.
Is there a song this WC for England?
Recent form has been poor and I guess the climate is not one you would expect us to thrive in. I think we’ll do okay but am tipping one of the South American giants to win.Considering we’ve done better than normal in the last two major tournaments expectation appears to be quite low.
Throw in the weaknesses at the back and the mediocre form of some of our regular starters, and you can see why people are claiming not to be fussed this time around. Unusual times insofar as lots of English folks would like to see Argentina win due to the Messi factor. I doubt whether that's happened before.Recent form has been poor and I guess the climate is not one you would expect us to thrive in. This is not a phenomenon I've had experience of, happily. Although most of my football watching confreres are of similar vintage to me, so they remember 1986 all too well.Throw in the weaknesses at the back and the mediocre form of some of our regular starters, and you can see why people are claiming not to be fussed this time around. Yeah maybe Wales as I live close to the border so don't like them. Can truthfully say there's no team I'd like to see win it less.
I presume he's only considering realistic optionsYeah maybe Wales as I live close to the border so don't like them.
I reckon it will kick in once they're actually playing. Talking of Wales and 1958, one of my claims to fame is that I used to teach Terry Medwin's grand-son. Or perhaps it was his great grand-son.Even so, I'm strangely unexcited about this -- it should be huge, today's the first time in my life (62 and counting ftr) that I've had my own team to cheer for at a WC, but somehow it's all a bit, meh really.
