USA looking pretty good. Though they faded badly in the second half against Wales.
They've completely outplayed us since the first 15 minutes.

EDIT
And the we actually picked up a bit just before half time. Noticeably that was when we built something down the left. Bring on Foden or Grealish for Sterling imo.

Not great. Have to disagree with @wpdavid I always want Sterling on the pitch for England, just seems to come up with goals when we need them.

Plenty of bench options though so either way no need to panic yet

"The US is overwhelming England in midfield" is quite a turn of events given how credentialed the latter is in comparison

Objectively would you say that was an even half even though England had more time of possession?
Objectively the septics outplayed us, couldn't have been better planned for their playbook, but in the end it's still 0-0, so we'll see.

Random question (since every World Cup I literally make a note to start following football because I enjoy the tournament so much): let’s say the top European club side - say Real Madrid or whatever top premier league entered the World Cup, and players in that club team had to represent the club and not the country, would they be one of the favorites to win the whole thing?

Easily, team cohesion, managers with the wealth to bring in players in weak positions, which national managers can't do. Plenty of club teams would win this I reckon.

We'll see. I guess the subs will wait another 15 minutes or so anyway. tbf most of the team have been poor, even the guys who were our best players against Iran.

Our passing in the final third has been absolutely rotten since half time. For whatever reason, most of them have completely frozen. And now the USA are all over us again.

Change it up Gareth, not sure how, but this is going one way otherwise. Foden for Mount for me, but Rashford and Grealish will do.

I've never chanted this before while watching sport (and probably never will again), but:

USA, USA, USA, USA!
ditto ditto etc.
