Example, even if England score 150 and bowl Namibia out for 130 then England's NRR drops to 2.156, back behind Scotland's 2.164

Given England's imaginative nicknaming, I can only assume he is one of the top 3 in the batting order. Can't see anyone named 'Robust' on the team sheet though.

Yep, NRR is out of the equation. You've not taken into account what happens to Scotland's NRR when they lose to Aus. There is now no way that Scotland can knock England out on NRR.

Hazlewood and Zampa are only bowlers to play all 3 games so far, so rest them. Starc is recovering from a niggle so rest him. Captain Marsh could also do with a rest as he is still not fit for bowling. All reserves need to play and bat as only game they may get a hit before any injury cover they do. I like this, but they should reverse the batting and bowling orders

My old club side did this in the last game of the season one year and lost outright in one day. Purely coincidentally, the result meant the team we were playing secured the last finals spot over a team which had conspired to cheat and **** us over on the GF the year before. They came over to our game to see what the score was and were surprised to see our opening bowler keeping with no pads on to the bowling of our wicket keeper, who had his keeping pads on as he was bowling.
