I'm expecting Australia to announce at some point that a bug has ripped through their squad rendering them unable to field a team against Scotland therefore forfeiting the game awarding the points to Scotland.
I hope they go with scurvy.

Expect England to lose to Namibia now, rendering the spirit of cricket debate re Aus fiddling the result against Scotland null and void.

If anyone thinks NRR is now out of the equation for England, guess again

As England have only batted 23.1 overs, if they bat first vs Namibia the run rate of that 20 overs will have a huge impact on their 3.081 NRR

Example, even if England score 150 and bowl Namibia out for 130 then England's NRR drops to 2.156, back behind Scotland's 2.164 😀

WE ARE BACK BOYS. WE BOWLED BRILLIANTLY AND BATTED ROBUSTY

OMAN TODAY...... THE WORLD TOMORROW
Who is Robusty?

Given England's imaginative nicknaming, I can only assume he is one of the top 3 in the batting order. Can't see anyone named 'Robust' on the team sheet though.

Let's face it, it's not an English name. I would expect something hyphenated for a start, like Wet-Lettuce.

Yeah I am not cool enough to have those shortened names with a "y" at the end :(

Yep, NRR is out of the equation. You've not taken into account what happens to Scotland's NRR when they lose to Aus. There is now no way that Scotland can knock England out on NRR.

Okay, I've worked a legitimate "no cheat" strategy for Aus vs Scotland match. Super 8's are straight after this match and Australia have to play their 3 games in 4 days between 21-24 June. So last chance to rest bowlers before those matches.

Hazlewood and Zampa are only bowlers to play all 3 games so far, so rest them. Starc is recovering from a niggle so rest him. Captain Marsh could also do with a rest as he is still not fit for bowling. All reserves need to play and bat as only game they may get a hit before any injury cover they do. So that's leaves the following XI

Green
Inglis +
Agar
Maxwell (needs runs)
Wade* (needs a hit)
Head
David
Warner
Stoinis
Cummins
Ellis

Rested: Starc, Hazlewood, Zampa, Marsh

I may or may not of made vice-captain Wade Captain to do anything ruthless required 😉

It's going to get tight when 18 of our blokes go down in the warm ups, and they have to get Merv Hughes plus 17 members of the tour he is leading to fill in.

I like this, but they should reverse the batting and bowling orders

My old club side did this in the last game of the season one year and lost outright in one day. Purely coincidentally, the result meant the team we were playing secured the last finals spot over a team which had conspired to cheat and **** us over on the GF the year before. They came over to our game to see what the score was and were surprised to see our opening bowler keeping with no pads on to the bowling of our wicket keeper, who had his keeping pads on as he was bowling.

Weather not looking an issue for the Scotland game.
Could be touch and go for England based on what I'm looking at.
