It wasn't caught, cheating imo. Should be brought up by the third umpire after the game.

I'm of the opinion that in that sort of catch, it is almost impossible for the fielder to know if he caught it cleanly or not.

It's pretty awful as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure most people remember his famously comical dismissal off Cairns' slower ball, years later he's still being done. Time to put a line under Read's England career.

It's fascinating the way that Marlon Samuels and Dwayne Smith have practically been re-invented as bowlers by the selectors. They've both improved so much with the ball and simultaneously slipped so far with the bat.

Duncan Fletcher and co are shamelessly insistent upon on selecting anyone tall and quick and 'developing' them into international standard bowlers even when the talent is clearly not there. It is nothing short of a disgrace to see bowlers representing England that do not have the talent to deliver a straight ball. IMO, we will never improve in ODI until we stop ignoring more effective, slower bowlers.
