Since the ODI WC is near, who according to you all is the GOAT of this format?
Kapil for me. The greatest ODI all-rounder.

****. Can some mod correct this?Obviously Hadlee since you wrote his name twice.
In answer to your question - Viv.
Literally who?Where's Michael Bracewell?
His record in WCs is amazing tho.Although run rates were different back in the day, for a guy who played 225 matches Kapil's economy rate of 3.7 was quite phenomenal.
Hell of a destructive batsman as well but if anything only averaging 23 may go against him.
Imran averages 35 with the bat and 19 with the ball in WCs.His record in WCs is amazing tho.
669 runs @37 and s/r of 115
28 wickets @31.86 and econ of 3.76

I hesitate to have anyone in the top five who didn't play a role in winning their team a WC or at least has a standout performance in one like Klusener. My top five:
1. Viv
2. Flintoff
3. Pollock
4. Dhoni
5. Wasim
i dont mind Flintoff there he had atg level performances in a fairly dysfunctional odi team. Pollock also has atg stats and is very flexible to fit into nearly every lineup you can make for odisI hesitate to have anyone in the top five who didn't play a role in winning their team a WC or at least has a standout performance in one like Klusener.
Yeah but a lot of ODIs in the 2000s were low stake meaningless affairs. Did they shows up in tournaments? Raw stats can be misleading.i dont mind Flintoff there he had atg level performances in a fairly dysfunctional odi team.
