Nicely put.

What is the equivalent for a batsman? One of Virat's since so many of you think he is not ATG?
Good contender Neil Harvey 52/53 vs SA

5 matches 9 innings 834 @ 92.66 4 tons 3 fifties

Only two other players scored above 400 (around 430) and he had to face prime Tayfield. Who took 30 wickets that series.

An excellent effort by a South African team which was severely outmatched on paper to draw that series 2-2. (unsure based on form etc)

Unsurprisingly the two innings where Harvey did not make a 50+ were in the two matches they lost. Including the second test where Tayfield got him twice, for the only times in the series.

I mean, putting aside the switch in nationality, that's not so much impressive as literally resurrectional.
