Racism is very common among the entire Indian country tbf (no offense to Luffy or any good Indian user), it's also plenty common in Australia.

Tbf Gavaskar atleast never assaulted his wife, actually had quite good married life afaih.
iirc Boycott also questions the judgement French government passed on him and Fred (from this site) once claimed that Margaret Moore was later shown to not be entirely honest either iirc, there's also this.

In 2015, an investigation by the Daily Telegraph alleged that Moore had admitted to a friend she had slipped on a marble floor and hit her head, causing the injury she later claimed was caused by Boycott. The newspaper also discovered that Boycott's solicitor had been contacted by a representative of Moore, suggesting that the allegation would be dropped if he paid her £150,000. Boycott refused to pay the sum demanded, stating he "considered it to be blackmail". A separate incident documented in court papers also revealed Moore's barrister had demanded £1 million from Boycott in return for her silence. Moore's lack of honesty has also been documented in other court cases relating to her business, when Mr Registrar James made a bankruptcy order against her he noted "a deliberate lack of truthfulness" in her evidence.
even as later as 2018-19, it seems that Boycott's behaviour in the courtroom is one of the things that was most remembered by the judge of the case, and It doesn't seem like he did himself any favours with his hostile, arrogant and toxic personality.

“It is more than 20 years ago, but I still remember his behaviour in the courtroom. He was arrogant and he had a deplorable attitude throughout the trial.”

“Boycott was most definitely not a gentleman,” Haumant said. “He told one of the opposing lawyers to shut up during the hearing. That was extremely vulgar and not something you say during a hearing. I can’t imagine a judge in your country allowing that, and I wouldn’t allow it.”

“In the court, the accused didn’t hesitate to interrupt Mrs Moore’s lawyer rudely, tarnishing the image of the perfect gentleman which he brought his old friends and witnesses to testify to,” she wrote at the time. She said the evidence presented to the court “does not support the theory of an accidental fall” and ruled that Moore had been the victim of “purposeful blows”.

Boycott accused Moore of blackmailing him to settle for a large sum of money, but she said it was never about cash. She asked for and was awarded the symbolic one franc damages. Boycott, labelled a woman-beater and criminal, found it difficult to shake off the stain on his reputation, even when Moore’s former solicitor Sue Sims-Steward said Moore saw Boycott as a way of solving financial problems and portrayed the victim as a difficult woman who could “turn on the tears at will”.

the whole story is a lot of he said/she said/they said, very little evidence and Boycott being Boycott in the courtroom. I don't think it's worth bringing up everytime Boycott is mentioned, not that I expect much else though.

Don't you rate him below Kohli?
Amla is in the same tier as Smith/Sehwag/Hayden/Cook for me (and Inzy probably)
I got Amla below Kohli but not by a huge margin, people just don't remember how good he was, for a good while he was outshining Kallis and De Villiers.

FTR I only brought it once and completely as a joke (and also because Trumper was like the perfect image of a person).

Don't think I have Amla below by a huge margin, but there is definitely a gap for me.
Kohli might end that gap in the England series so I'll wait, Boycott I definitrly got ahead of Kohli though, better and more fullfilling record, far greater longetivity in term of skill and averages higher as opener then Kohli did at 4 though, not as complete at batting as 2018 Kohli.

Yeah my comment wasn't directed toward you, just a general comment as I don't believe such a "he said/she said" case even has a place on this subforum.
