Furball, I don't especially care, but you're the one trying to get away with one here. If other people want you to change, you should.

Furball

Evil Scotsman
I'll take Bill Voce then.

When a player's career is so evenly split between eras, common sense should apply though. Compton's 39th Test was the Sydney Test of 1951 - 5 days out. He scored 3,190 of his 5,807 runs in the era in question, and 13 out of 17 hundreds. You said people have the right to question a pick; I'm giving the answers as to why Compton should be considered part of that era. 1928-50 is far more Compton's era than 1951-1970. And people should stop being such whiny bitches, it's not like I was trying to pick Keith Miller ffs.

Aw, ump, it only pitched just outside leg, but that's all there was wrong with it. Horrible shot, hitting a third of the way up middle, common sense means the batsman should be out blah blah blah

Anyhow welcome back GF

He does, a la OP. Amazed it took until now to pick him.
Actually, I thought he was unavailable this round. Turns out I didn't read the OP properly and forgot to count 1950 as part of this era. Still I'm reasonably happy with Duleep
