Difference is the copious footage of these players, of almost every match they played. Unlike, unfortunately Bradman, or even a prime Sobers or Pele there's a limited amount of it.

Even if you watch a replay of a match on HD, it will never be able to get the same emotion again

Kallis the batsman > Miller the batsman or bowler

Yeah this is fairly obvious. But Kallis the bowler < Miller the bowler or batsman as well.

I have Kallis marginally ahead overall but it's close. Massive fan of both.

Kallis the batsman was better than Miller was at either discipline. Like tiers better.

And he filled a completely different and more difficult(?) role as a bowler.

And Kallis was just absolutely superb at 2nd slip. Like top tier elite great.

I've the unpopular opinion that Miller wasn't functionally far inferior to Lindwall in his ability to bowl, he just bowled way less at the tail of batting lineups, his actual WPM against the top 7 is not much different than someone like Lindwall or Wasim (Wasim's is higher by 0.18). Plus, when you've Lindwall/Johnson/Davidson, it makes sense to not have your express pacer clean up the tail and to rest him. his performance didn't dip bowling longer in serieses either.

I think Kallis the batsmen is superior to Miller the bowler, but in terms of what they bring to the side it's not gonna be that much different, especially with Miller's batting advantage over Kallis's bowling.

Miller was also a great slip.

He was noted to be a great slip, not quite in that Kallis league, but I've never seen at all myself and it was never quite spoken of as highly as the likes of Hammond.
