You dont really have to post a list. If you say you were in your 50s when they last won, it conveys the message tbh.2023 mate. 2019 before that. When did you fellas last win it at all?
There will be kids who were born on the day England last won a test in Australia who will come home from year eight at high school to watch day one of the first Ashes test in 2025, and they won't have seen England win a test here in their entire lives.
No one's ever posted a TikTok of an England test win in Australia.
Osama Bin Laden hasn't missed one since he took the swim which needs no towel from the back of a Black Hawk in May 2011.
England's last test win in Australia is closer in time to 9/11 than it is to October 7th.
The Iraq war didn't last as long as the time since England last won a test in Australia.
WWI and WWII combined were shorter than the time since England last won a test in Australia.
Elizabeth Taylor, Randy Savage and Steve Jobs were alive when England last won a test here.
No one has ever tracked their active minutes on an Apple Watch while listening in to an England test win over here.
Sad.
It is sad and it is the reason why, when the Ashes are contested, I support my country of birth ahead of my adopted country.Sad.
What about a series?I was in my 50s when Australia last won a test in England, yes.
Same.What about a series?
I was in my 20's when Australia last won an Ashes Series in England. My eldest daughter wasn't born, she's just graduated from Uni!!I was in my 50s when Australia last won a test in England, yes.
In your 50s in 2001?Same.
SameI was in my 20's when Australia last won an Ashes Series in England. My eldest daughter wasn't born, she's just graduated from Uni!!
So you were in your 30s when England last won a single test here? How can you still support them? I mean, it's genuinely pathetic. And it isn't as though they've been vintage Aus outfits handing out these demoralizing pizzlings either.I was in my 20's when Australia last won an Ashes Series in England. My eldest daughter wasn't born, she's just graduated from Uni!!
I'm actually starting to wonder if I'll ever see another Aussie Series win in England. If they couldn't do it with this bowling attack (which is all heading to retirement), and it was only rain that saved them (twice) from defeat anyway, it's hard to see how they do it with what clearly is not coming through.Same
Yeah, I was in my 30's when England won the Ashes there. So you were in your 30s when England last won a single test here? How can you still support them? I mean, it's genuinely pathetic. And it isn't as though they've been vintage Aus outfits handing out these demoralizing pizzlings either.
They have Dad's Army in their attack now.I'm actually starting to wonder if I'll ever see another Aussie Series win in England. If they couldn't do it with this bowling attack (which is all heading to retirement), and it was only rain that saved them (twice) from defeat anyway, it's hard to see how they do it with what clearly is not coming through.
The one thing England are doing at the moment is giving opportunities to other bowlers. Atkinson has impressed, Tongue looked useful, Potts is improving, Stone plays tomorrow, Hull called up to the squad.lol you're relying on Mark Wood who'll be rising a PED-assisted 36 at the time of the next Ashes and currently have Woakes in the side at 35. You'll be hoping England can manage to take 20 wickets in the next Ashes series let alone in a given match.
