Yes, definitely imoI agree with L and L:
Trueman > Lindwall >Hall
Would Neil Adcock also rate above Hall?

if Gavaskar played in bowling friendly condition , he would take 8 wickets a match at avarage of 18.Gavaskar is better than all of them.
Gavaskar > Hutton > Hobbs > Trueman > Lindwall >> HallGavaskar is better than all of them.
The poll has almost 10 years to run though.Trueman seems to be winning 8-2-1
Six in the short range. How tf did he get away with thatgot a few bullet holes
Clearly this will make a huge impact on the results, in light of the constant digging for historical evidence, and shifting paradigms about cricketers from like 60-70 years ago or whatever. XDThe poll has almost 10 years to run though.
Fred Trueman was without a doubt the best opening bowler for England He was quick and "angry" as a player meaning he had the ability to lift not only his own performances but of others around him as well with this attitude. He seemed to bowl best in tandem with Brian Statham from what i saw.On this, I see that @JBMAC is the only poster to vote for the big fella so far and he's one of the few posters to have (possibly) seen all three in the pomp.
I wonder if he has any wisdom to impart?
Oh good, I was starting to worry.13-5-1 , Yes I'll update for next ten years
Yeah it's widely regarded as such but tbh I think he chucked it*.Lindwall's action was regarded as the finest example for budding fast bowlers to follow.
This is the best flex in CW history tbh. Just casually dropping in the reference to having faced both those blokes. Love it.Wes Hall was definitely the second fastest bowler i have ever faced(Thommo was the fastest). I only ever faced him in the nets but he was bloody quick and his record (stats) do not do him justice. Tremendous fielder and always smiled at you making you feel very uncomfortable. A good team man and motivator. Thats why I rated him the best of the three.
This gives me a thread idea... ?Thank God Kallis was not added as an option here.
Hall was class.I'm surprised by the number of people ****ting on Hall here. I think he was quicker than the other two. Trueman is the best of this lot obviously but that's probably down to his consistency.
I always find myself wondering how the bowlers of that era would do if they were playing in the 90s or whatever, and the footage available of them always makes me skeptical if they're really able to swim in the mustard if there was a time machine around. Both Trueman and Lindwall don't really seem to be sprinting in or anything and I think they're probably dependent on their actions to generate the pace they do. Even if I compare them with someone like Pollock, who wasn't the quickest bowler around or anything, I don't always feel they are purposeful enough in their movements to generate really good pace. I don't have too many doubts about Hall though, he was quick for sure.
Agreed, thats why I’d go for Lee over McGrath any day.I'm surprised by the number of people ****ting on Hall here. I think he was quicker than the other two.
