Max being an insufferable **** and also an excellent driver can both be true ftr.
Max has been the one who's been an insufferable dick. His early Crashtappen days, his driving in 2021 was ridiculous and then again this year when briefly challenged.

Not to mention his insufferable attitude and entitled behavior.

Well that's that.

Norris would have been the weakest champion since Rosberg anyway. Hasn't remotely deserved the Championship.

I never said Max wasn’t either.

Alpine jumping to 6th is crazy. I think RB are real close though and Haas about 5 points behind so they could still end up 8th. Great weekend for them.

That was a great drive from MV and a very fun race.

Apparently the crowd were chanting Drugovitchs name at Stroll when he binned it lol

True, he honestly kept proving that he wasn't good enough to do this on merit.

The drama would have been fun though.

Wow, what a drive by Max, his first lap gains were insane. Meanwhile yet again Norris botched the start like he's done all season.

Norris unlucky with the red flag just after he pitted so everyone could change tyres under red flag. Norris says this rule should be changed as most drivers don't agree wth it. Yep, why should cars get a free tyre change just because it's a red flag?

Of course he says it should be changed when it disadvantaged him.

Norris and Russell both fined €5000 for the extra formation Lap. Tsunoda and Lawson also investigated but were let off

In the last 5 races, Verstappen and Norris have both scored the exact same 90 points. So World title race is over and just the constructors to cheer for now

Battle for 6th
Alpine - 49
Haas - 46
VCARB - 44

Battle for top 3
McClaren - 593
Ferrari - 557
Red Bull - 544

It does make sense though, if the race is actually stopped it really should restart under the same conditions.

Anyway, another botched opportunity for Norris, although the weather certainly came to Verstappen's rescue. But he knew how to make the most of it (as all dominant drivers generally do). Norris needs to spend the Winter working on starts!!

It feels unfair, but then again if the shoe was on the other foot and you were on old tyres you were going to get rid of in a lap's time then effectively starting a new race and having to pit straight away would place you at an even bigger disadvantage.

How is that a bigger disadvantage. If no red flag you would have to pit on that lap anyway. That's the point, cars should stay the same when under red flag

It doesn't really work out like that though does it. If you've made a decision to stay out longer, then you're out of position.

The Alpine team finished 2nd and 3rd without making a pitstop between them. Not to take away from their efforts, because they drove fantastically well once they were in that position, but that's a massive competitive advantage.

He did acknowledge that tbf.

Norris shot himself in the foot this race though. He needs to work on his mental toughness. He clearly has the pace, but he makes too many mistakes.

Because it's a grid start after a red flag. Pitting drops you to the back of the field instead of what your normal position would be.

Maybe the rule should be whether half the field have changed tyres or not. That way the majority would receive the benefit.

That's not really any different to choosing not to pit under safety car procedures, which is what happened yesterday prior to the Red Flag.

Did anyone hear whether Mercedes were penalised for changing Tyre pressures on the grid before the second formation lap?
