What’s the general consensus on Postecoglu at Celtic? Obviously off to a bad start in the CL but it’s a potentially important development for Aus football if he goes decently.
Has a reasonable record where he’s coached before.My understanding is he may not have a great squad to work with, but I don’t follow the Scottish league very closely.

There isn't a consensus. AFAIK Celtic fans are still in the "don't know much about this guy, let's give him a chance" phase.
I think he may end up being a bit of a fall guy. The squad is in transition so he's unlikely to win anything now, but he doesn't have a strong enough reputation to be given time. I guess you have to call it a big opportunity, but it is also a tough spot.

Cheers. I've no skin in the game from a club POV, I would just like to see him do well from the perspective of football here. If we had a manager who did well in Europe it couldn't do the game any harm. He got us an Asian Cup and coached a J League title, so hopefully he does ok.

Just saw this on the news. It's usually due to an undetectable congenital heart defect. But it doesn't bear thinking about.

I wasn't impressed when they came to Ibrox last week. Lots of meaningless possession without really doing anything with it. Very one dimensional in attack.
He's had a couple of big wins at home against utter cannon fodder but he's P2 L2 at 2 of the more difficult grounds he'll go to in the league.
Consensus amongst Celtic fans I've seen seems to be that they're willing to give him time but that will quickly evaporate if they don't put up a challenge.

It's weird how certain countries always seem to get drawn together, we've got them in our group and will be playing there next month. Think it's possibly the 3rd or 4th time we've had them for qualifying for various tournaments.
By contrast I can only remember being in the same group as Poland once, while England constantly seem to draw them.
