Happy to be proved wrong today, but I think NZ tend to overestimate how much they can get out of Rachin and Phillips. In terms of bowling contribution Sodhi is still better. If not, him find someone else for the subcontinent. Too many pacers in the squad, for these surfaces.

I mean I was also slightly surprised by the lack of another purely specialist spin option but I agree, it feels like while we had the perfectly balanced side for all the Pakistan games in the tri series and group stages, another threatening spin option would've been great for Dubai. That said, our bowling withering in the face of quality spin would've been the same.
