Have not rated Varun for a long time after his choke job in the 2021 T20 WC but guy has proven me wrong. He has gone back, done a lot of hard work, transformed himself into a proper wrist spinner who can bowl a carrom ball, and come back and been immense. Improved his hitting and fielding as well. Truly well done for a guy who can sometimes be a bit full of himself.

Very similar to the Shreyas Iyer story, I think.

Doull lives in Dubai doesn't he and does commentary gigs around the sub continent. Probably needs to remain quite netural to avoid any upset but I think he's one of the better commentators around.

Yeah he's similar to Danny Morrison who commentates a lot in the sub continent as well like the IPL so they are more reluctant to be critical of India.

Ian Smith doesn't care about commentating in the sub continent, he just commentates international cricket so he commentates without fear or favour.

Yeah he's proved to be a real weapon. Unlike the earlier game this wicket's been less helpful, and NZ are still struggling.
