Bradman always scored at least a century in every test he played there as well as winning every test he captained there (and never losing a test their; the conditions should suit my seamers and Grimmett always seemed to do very well in English conditions. Bradman and Ponsford also shared in some huge partnerships at this ground and I hope that they can do so again. Murdoch also batted well on some horrendous wickets in the 19th Century so I think he'll adapt well to even the most bowler-friendly Headingly pitch

The openers: Anyone with a passing interest in the history of pre Bradman Australian cricket will recognise the impact these two openers had on the game. Trumper being one of the most prolific batsman of his generation, and Woodfull possibly the finest opener Victoria has ever produced.

The middle order: Four names instantly recognisable to the modern day fan. Richards was good enough to make the CW Top 50 despite only playing 4 Tests. Crowe being NZL greatest ever batsman. Steve Waugh the rock behind the Australian middle order for nearly 20 years. Jayawardene, the merciless Sri Lankan plunderer of attacks, and statistically one of the finest batsman of this generation.

Wicketkeeper: Jeff Dujon, the man behind the stumps during the great West Indian glory years. Nearly 20 years after retirement, the West Indies are still to find a gloveman who could match the feats of Dujon. Safe behind the stumps, and capable of thrilling batting down the order.

Pace attack: Three different nationalities from three different eras of the game make up my pace attacking. Contrasting styles of play with Holding and Lindwall to take up the new ball, followed by the ever probing Fanie de Villers to bowl 1st change.

Spinner: Bill 'Tiger' O'Reilly, many would say the 2nd greatest spinner in Australian history (some would say the greatest). Capable of bowling unchanged all day with his wide variety of wrong-un's, flippers and fizzing leg-breaks, the quality of this man more than compensates for the lack of a true all-rounder amongst my team.

Strengths
- The middle-order
- Solid mix of cricketers from across eras
- Possibly the strongest of selections from cricketers who played less than <10 Tests

Weaknesses
- Fanie de Villiers the only real non-star of my side
- Steve Waugh is the only true 5th bowling option
- Other teams have stronger keeper-batsman than Dujon
- Opening combination is from a bygone era

All in all, I'm very satisfied with my team.

Not overly worried about ground selection, I feel my team is well rounded. When the weakest link in my side is Farni de Villiers then I think I am doing ok. I will do a full write-up at the conclusion of the ground selection.

I've done it by inserting the teams statistics into the Cricksim simulator (Which only takes into account batting averages and bowling averages statistics wise). The points system was one which I thought was fair and the fixtures were drawn up using the 2005 NPC (NZ domestic rugby competition) fixture list (I asigned each team in this draft to a team on the fixtures list and replicated the fixtures.
