You could always pick Kapil instead of Botham, and that way still have five great bowling options - with the batting depth this team is likely to have I reckon you can happily bat Imran at 6 and have a 6-11 of, as an example, something like Imran-Kapil-'keeper-Hadlee-Marshall-fifth bowler.

Should but it's not a must, especially if available spinners are not remotely close to the quality of opposing spinners....

I’d rather have an ok spinner than be stuck with a couple of part timers. But that’s just me.

Meh, he averaged 10 less than Miandad and Border in the 80’s, not really a contest for me.

Think Imran at 6 and Garner as first change works best but I could be wrong.
