A thought on batting order. Abel was essentially an opener. So was Shrewsbury, but he also played quite a bit and very successfully at 3. Ranji and Murdoch both batted mainly at 3 but could bat lower too.

So, is it worth moving Abel to open, Shrewsbury to first drop and Ranji/Murdoch to 4/5?
