The Lancs team didn't look like a happy and positive group of people on the field. Also their fake appealing when they knew perfectly well things weren't out was really tiresome.
would that be surprising if, as I imagine, 11 of the team realised fairly soon whilst fielding that they should have batted first. The Lancs team didn't look like a happy and positive group of people on the field. Without DRS everything is worth trying - look at that daft Somerset/Worcs decision for Vaughan Jnr.would that be surprising if, as I imagine, 11 of the team realised fairly soon whilst fielding that they should have batted first.
I also imagine 18 counties are guilty of excessive appealling and have been for years. I remember Mushie playing for Sussex and he and his close fielders were at it constantly, when they won the championship.
Some decent numbers there. Notably however that these figures (which I assume were the highest) were from Friday rather than the weekend.and a few attendances from the first two rounds.
Essex v Surrey, day one: 2,370
Yorkshire v Worcestershire, day one: 2,037
Middlesex v Lancashire, day one: 4,100
Hampshire v Yorkshire, day one: 2,148
Surrey v Hampshire, day one: 5,639
Some good numbers - Perhaps the death of County Championship isn't going to happen, which would be brilliant as its still the lifeblood of English Cricket.and a few attendances from the first two rounds.

Enjoy - I look forward to reading your report about the day.Off to Hove tomorrow to watch the Champions. Been to Arundel but never Hove, looking forward to it!
