English Domestic Season 2025

Molehill

Cricketer Of The Year
Wasn't aware of Sean Hunt. Good to see a young English left arm seamer going well.

9fer and counting against Somerset
Only playing because Robinson is injured. He's flattered to deceive up to now, didn't see this kind of performance in him previously. Hope Sussex can finish the job off today....

slowfinger

International Regular
Haynes on a career best 143 and counting for Nottingham

Could we see an England call up for this man in the future?

A previous Worcester boy

Sussex get their first Div 1 win for 10 years!! Would've happened sooner if they could catch or if Hunt hadn't got injured.

Solid start to the return to top flight though, perhaps it won't be just a battle to avoid relegation....

That was a massive hammering we got yesterday from Yorkshire.

Worry about the season ahead. Somerset 1st game i expect has i thought they would (And still do) contend for the County Championship, Yorkshire i don't expect too so its massively disappointing

First Class Debutant
Kent rather than Lancashire proving there is a gap between divisions. Last season they were rock bottom now 2 from 2.

Lancashire really need to rip everything up and start again.
Whatever question is asked they come up with the wrong answer.
They have won both tosses and scraped draws in the dying minutes of each game.
5 seamers at Lords, no spinner.
Dropped three of the 5 for this game to allow practice for a Hampshire player. They had 6 bowlers able to fill that role but they didn't realise they needed a spinner who can turn the ball. Have released both Parkinson and Morley in favour of a one day spinner with control but doesn't take enough wickets.
They loaned a player who took 1/77 and scored 5 runs.
Northants loaned a player who took 11 wickets and scored 50 runs.
Who got it right and who got it wrong? Imagine the result if those two were swapped round. Do they not realise what their home ground calls for?
Benkenstein's championship record now
2022 10th place (last div 1) relegated 2 wins 8 defeats
2023 8th place (last div 2) 0 wins 6 defeats
Sacked by Gloucester 2 years into a 3 year contract, bet he couldn't believe Lancs took him on
2024 9th place relegated 3 wins 6 defeats
2025 winless scraped two draws in the first two games.
