English Domestic Season 2023

Can't see them flip flopping with Bairstow again, with him as a specialist bat.

England should have never moved away from Stokes 6, Bairstow 7 and Moeen 8.

The sticking these guys higher to plugs gaps and bring in Buttler was a mistake.
Totally agree with that but they have gone for Foakes in the subcontinent before. If they are really turning pitches he does become a real difference.

Middlesex declaration seems moronic(unless rain forecast)

Giving Notts 58 overs to score 207 when they need to win to stay up

Bairstow had his best time batting at 5?

I'm talking about the 16-21 period under Cook/Root. Not Stokes onwards.

We messed around with what had made us decent under Bayliss which was the strong middle to lower order. To make up for a weak top 3.

Bairstow wouldn't have gone through as lean run of form if he'd just been left alone with the gloves at 7.

Which was the point I was trying to make, as talk of bringing in Foakes again is just more muddled treatment of Jonny.

Must be said Pant was better than Foakes in the last series anyway with the gloves.

As has been said in the last round of matches, they are not in a position to negotiate and needed time to take 10 wickets. Top order let them down, as they have all season long.

Drama there with the scores tied, montgomery set batsman edged one to the keeper.

Ball on the full and flew into the keepers chest. Difficult chance
