66/5 at lunch, mini recovery, I'll take 150, get them in today and see what we can do on a very moist wicket.

Couple of poles for siddy in the morning, not a bad start at all. Fairly even stuff.

Shahzad bowling 6 overs for 7 runs is promising.

Could really do with Timbo though, Wardlaw's opening spell clearly not up with the standard of the rest.

Even more frustrating is the likelihood that Bres won't play tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing Glamorgan bowl later. Partly to see how Jones is going, even though he's probably past it for an international return, and mainly Harris. Hope Harris does well, someone I do rate highly.

Also good to see Shahzad's got his radar working by the looks of it could possibly be needed during the test series if we get an injury or someone struggles.

Taylor on his way to another century in the tour match. Wag.

Should be given a taster in the ODIs later in the summer. Certainly hope he's moved above Bopara in the pecking order - have a feeling that if a batsman got injured in the Tests, Ravi would get called up.

Essentially: Tayla4Eng.

Letting lanky off the hook here. Need another two before the close.

Wardlaw having a pretty horrible debut. Doesn't look like he's ready on this evidence.

Would have thought there would be a couple of bowlers ahead of him before the selectors would be looking bringing him in, especially given his average season so far. Onions coming back is only likely to push him further down the pecking order as well.

Wicket for Wardlaw just as I post, natch.

Only our day if we don't get another. Wouldn't at all be surprised to see a hundred run Chappell/Mahmood partnership given what the rest of the season has been like.

The guy is 26 isn't he? You'd have hoped he'd be 'ready' if he's ever going to be?

Anyway, probably take 304/7 after being put in, hopefully can get past 350 in the morning then roll the yorkies twice for under 150, would be nice

When you win the toss and put the other lot in you have to be batting yourselves that night for it to have been a good decision.

Ross Whiteley with his first ever ton and another good score for Jonathan Clare rescue us from 66-5 to 321-8.

What a season Kyle Hogg is having, a couple of months ago he must have been playing for his career. Another 4 fer today takes him to 28@13 in the CC.

Yorkshire in the ****.
