English Domestic Season 2011

Gonna have plenty to play with tho.

Junaid is a diamond, isn't he? Suddenly Aamer being bent might not matter so much. New young Pakistani left armer on the scene.

18 from Saj's over. Surely?

Gives Warwickshire a fighting chance. This Junaid boy is useful - Lancashire making some astute overseas acquisitions this year.
Wasim recommended him i think. Don't think he is costing us much either, wanted to get himself some exposure, working out well for both teams, same for Maharoof. Would much rather see us getting guys wanting to prove themselves than guys in it for the money

That'll be yer lot, then. Rikki holes out to deep mid wicket.

Woakes to the crease. This would be special...

EDIT: They crossed. D'oh.

Certainly worked out a great deal better than many high profile overseas buys. These boys can defend anything!

What's Khawaja averaged this summer?

Yup. Looking at your line up your strength's deffo your bowling.

Who'll you get in the QFs? Somerset?
If Surrey beat Kent tomorrow we will play the winner of the Sussex vs Surrey on Friday. We can only play Somerset if Surrey lose tomorrow and win on Friday.

Would prefer not to play Somerset tbh, think they would wipe the floor with us, I'd give us a chance against the other two

He averaged just under 40 in the CC, improved by him signing off with his only score above 50 I think in his final game. But that kind of return is not unsurprising when you sign an inexperienced youngster with undoubted talent. Similar to Kane Williamson at Gloucester, there will be flashes of their true qualities yet the consistency will not quite be there in these alien conditions, I'm sure their countries will benefit more than the counties at this stage and this experience will no doubt aid their own development.

Ward just made the point about the Pakistan bowlers dominating T20 this year. Junaid, Naved, Riaz, Ajmal (boo, hiss, etc) & Afridi all turning it on.

Case to be made The Friends Life is benefiting from the IPL's embargo on Pakistanis.

Open and shut case for mine.

EDIT: For mine? Jesus. Bloody Australianisms.

Some great death bowling by Dirtbag, on Sky TV, lovely yorkers and slower balls, the more I watch him, the more he impresses me.

Colly gets a hattrick against Northamptonshire and finsihed with the crazy good figures, of 3 overs 6 for 5, Oh yes, Northants were all out for 47.

Regardless of whether you can pick the slower ball, it will always pick up wickets at the death because the batsman premeditates. It really is excellent.

Pretty farcical decision on that Styris catch, clean as they come.

See Sky are going to show some U19 cricket tomorrow, should be interesting to see Topley bowling

Yes agree, didn't see much of a problem with the Styris catch, he was certainly pumped up after they decided to give not out.

Yes I'm looking forward to watching some U19 cricket, enjoy seeing the up and coming talent.
