Rather more straightforward than seemed likely in the end - huge significance now to the Durham/Lancs game next week

btw where is Scaly?

Um...well Brooks is good.
Is he? I know he is pretty quick but the only times I have seen him, he and usually Lee Daggett were on the other end of a hiding. Nice headband and hair though.

On Northampton, shame the County Ground has been reduced to slow, low dog wickets as it use to be one the quickest surfaces in England. Remember in a Sky game from a few years back where the keeper was almost on the 30 yard circle keeping to van der Wath.

Random. Kane Williamson's been named captain for Gloucestershire's next two 20/20 matches as well as their next four day game after Alex Gidman was ruled out with a thigh injury.

In a T20 that's pretty shocking. I remember Abdul Razzaq hilariously conceding one in a T20I against England last year.

Yeah, Tresco is immense, and would have helped England in all forms of the game, so pissed off as an England fan. For him personally, he could of made millions in the IPL, if it wasn't for his problems.

Yet his mental health is the most important thing, so I'm happy for the way things are going for him:)

Wonder if the pitch inspectors had a look at Chelmsford. Essex 183 then bowled Northants out for 99(no lower order revival this time) then 70odd/5 in their second innings.

Topley got poles again. Be interesting to see him on the box if sky are showing any of the U19 games this year

Jones the Swerve back on Sky now for any UK readers.

Reduced his run up and just ambles in a la Craig White, but still has a quick arm. Last one nudging 87mph, even if Trego did smack it for 4.

On loan from Hampshire but can be recalled.

How does that work? Can he play in the 20/20 for Hants?

Top innings from Adam Wheather, came in at 49/4 and it soon became 63/5, has 164* from 142 balls and an unbroken 253 run partnership with Foster
